Before you connect

  1. Connect your monitor to your home’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and register it in the AirGradient dashboard. Check that its readings appear there first.
  2. In AirGradient, open General Settings → Connectivity, enable API access and copy the API token.
  3. Paste the token below and select Find my monitors, then choose your monitor.
  4. Choose the room it monitors and confirm permission to connect it.

AirGradient’s illustrated instructions

Keep API tokens private. Your AirGradient account must provide cloud API access. If the monitor cannot join Wi-Fi or has no readings in AirGradient, resolve that first.

Add a monitor

Finding monitors uses your token for this request only. It is stored securely only when you confirm and connect below.

You can also enter a Location ID from AirGradient’s Locations Administration if your monitor is not listed.

Link your monitor to a saved model sensor

Connecting a monitor to a room makes its readings available in Dashboards. To show which saved sensor or monitor object it represents in your home model, choose that object in the connected monitor card below and select Link to selected sensor. The object must already be saved in the same room.

If the object is still a draft, return to your home, open Edit → Contents, save the sensor or monitor object, then come back here. A model link is optional and can be removed without disconnecting the monitor.

Connected monitors

Readings refresh about every five minutes. Values older than 20 minutes are marked stale. Missing measurements are not treated as zero. Check that your monitor is online in AirGradient if readings do not appear.
